RINGSCAFF in the German Bundestag: Scafom‑rux Modular Scaffold Serves as Exhibition Structure

Our scaffolding above an Olympic pool?
At the end of 2025, STAVAB lešenie s.r.o., a specialist scaffolding company from Košice, built a custom scaffolding structure inside 50 m Olympic swimming pool of the National Olympic Center for Swimming Sports Košice with the walking platform positioned just above the water level. An unusual setup, and a perfect fit for a company experienced in professional scaffolding assembly, rental, and bespoke solutions for industrial, residential, and complex interior projects.

Using the Scafom-rux RINGSCAFF modular system, the team created a continuous platform spanning the full width of the pool to provide a safe and stable workspace for judges and technical officials during major swimming events. As the structure was installed temporarily inside a chlorinated pool, it was carefully reviewed and approved by the Scafom-rux quality department to ensure safe use under these special conditions. The 3D layout was developed by Jan-David Schreier from the Scafom-rux Deutschland technical team to meet demanding safety and operational requirements.

On site, the project was overseen by Tomáš Bábela, co-owner of STAVAB lešenie s.r.o. — and he didn’t just supervise. Tomáš, a former competitive swimmer and now an international swimming judge, was personally involved in the assembly, working directly in the pool. He installed large parts of the structure in the water, often below the surface.

The result: a tailored scaffolding solution that met strict safety standards while keeping major sporting events running smoothly.
